On Friday, the CVCA baseball team hosted Walsh Jesuit in the first round of the Cuyahoga Falls City Championship. Strong pitching was the story in this game. Junior

Ryan Wiehe broke the 0-0 tie with a RBI double in the bottom of the 6th inning to give the Royals a 1 run lead. Sophomore
Alex Mammone closed the door on the highly ranked Warriors with 2 shutout innings for the save. CVCA earned the 1-0 win to improve their record to 3-2. The Royals will face Woodridge in the CF City Championship on a date to be determine. The boys are set to host Padua on Monday.
