The CVCA baseball team faced off against Youngstown East on Saturday in the opening round of the OHSAA Tournament. The Royals and Golden Bears were originally scheduled to play Thursday, but poor weather and field conditions moved the game. CVCA started slow in this game but were able to score in every inning. They pushed across 5 runs in the 5th inning grab full control. The Royals ended the game with one run in the 6th and secured the 13-3 victory. With the win, CVCA advances to the District Semifinal on Tuesday, May 27th. The team will host Kenston at 5pm. The Royals are now 19-7 on the season. With this victory, Coach Jason Herblet now has the most wins (162) in program history.
