The CVCA baseball team traveled to Padua on Wednesday night. Due to a stretch of poor weather, this was the first game for the Royals since last Wednesday. CVCA got on the board first after back to back doubles from
Jonah Gaudio and
Jacob Lancy to start the game. Padua answered with 2 runs in the 2nd innings to move in front.
Alex Mammone tied the score in the 2nd inning with a solo home run to right field. The Bruins again had an answer and pushed across one run to regain the lead. In the 4th inning, CVCA struggled to throw strikes and Padua added three runs.
Jacob Lancy would trim the deficit to 3 with a home run in the 5th inning, but CVCA would get no close. They fall to Padua by a score of 6-3. The Royals are now 11-6 on the season and 5-1 in conference play. They will host NDCL on Thursday.
