The CVCA boys basketball team hosted St. Vincent-St. Mary on Tuesday night in front of a packed crowd inside the Tim Beyerle Memorial Gymnasium. The Royals started fast and led 7-0 early in the first quarter. The visiting Irish answered with an 8-0 run of their own. CVCA was able finish the first half strong and take a nine point lead into the break. They extended their lead to 12 early in the 3rd quarter. STVM found an answer late in 3rd quarter and the CVCA lead was just 3 entering the 4th. Foul trouble limited the play of some key Royals in the 2nd half and the Irish took advantage. The visitors finished the game on a 30-10 run to secure a 10 point victory. This is just the 2nd loss of the season for CVCA as the Royals now sit at 9-2. They will hit the road on Friday night to face another tough opponent in University School.
