The CVCA boys basketball team hit the road on Friday night for a tough North Coast Conference battle at Padua. The Royals entered the game sitting atop the NCC standings. Padua started fast in this game and CVCA trailed by as many as 13 in the first quarter of play. The boys battled back and took a two point lead into halftime. The Royals went on a mini run to start the 3rd quarter and built their lead to 10. They would lead the rest of the way. Padua made a late run, but the Royals held on for a 70-67 win. With the win, CVCA moves to 10-3 on the season and remains unbeaten in conference play at 7-0. They will be back in action on Tuesday night at Lake Catholic.
