Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy held a college ceremony for the class of 2026 on Wednesday, February 4
th. Six Royals made the commitment to continue their academic and athletic careers at the next level. These student-athletes have earned this opportunity through hard work and determination. Congratulations Royals!
Kylee Zamecnik, senior student-athlete at CVCA, signed to continue her academic and track & field careers at Miami University (NCAA D1) in Oxford, Ohio. Kylee will be a 4 year letter winner for the Royals this spring. She has participated in the state meet in each of her first three seasons. Her freshman year, she placed 6
th in the 4x400m relay and 8
th in the Long Jump. Her sophomore year, she placed 4
th in the Long Jump and 16
th in the 100m. Her junior year, she placed 3
rd in the long jump. She is a multiple time Conference and District Champion as well as a Regional Champion and School record holder. Her jump of 18'2.75 at the 2024 OHSAA State Championship is the best in CVCA history. She looks to cap off a prolific career with another standout season her senior year.
Kyle Shaw, senior student-athlete at CVCA, signed to continue his academic and baseball careers at Baldwin Wallace University (NCAA DIII) in Berea, Ohio. Kyle will be a 3 year letter winner for CVCA this spring. He was named 2
nd team All-District and All-NCC in 2025. He played a key role in leading the Royals to Conference & District Championships and the program's first ever Regional Finals appearance in 2025.
Kaylee Darr, senior student-athlete at CVCA, signed to continue her academic and volleyball careers at Mount Vernon Nazarene University (NAIA) in Mount Vernon, Ohio. Kaylee is a 3 year letter winner for the Royals. She was named Honorable Mention All-District in 2025 and a member of the 2024 District Championship team.
Jay Danhauer, senior student-athlete at CVCA, signed to continue his academic and golf careers at Capital University (NCAA DIII) in Bexley, Ohio. Jay is a 1 year letter winner for the Royals after picking up competitive golf his senior season. He helped the Royals to an 8-0 record in 2025 and a trip to the District tournament.
Logan Kish, senior student-athlete at CVCA, signed to continue his academic and baseball careers at Great Bay Community College (USCAA) in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Logan will be a 2 year letter winner for the Royals this spring. He looks to be a factor on the mound and at the plate for CVCA in 2026 after the team's first ever Regional Final appearance a season ago.
Jane Campitelli, senior student-athlete at CVCA, signed to continue her academic and cheer careers are the University of Akron (NCAA D1) in Akron, Ohio. Jane cheered both fall and winter after coming to CVCA her junior year and will be a 2 year letter winner. She has helped lead her team to new levels and is always a great example of Royals spirit.
