After three straight rain outs, the CVCA baseball team was able to add a game at Berea-Mipark on Friday evening. The Royals were eager to play and looking to snap a three game skid. Sophomore
Peyton Drabick was outstanding on the mound and put CVCA in prime position for the win. He went 6 scoreless innings and struck out 13 batters. The Royals offense never found the big inning but did enough to secure a 5-0 road win.
Connor McGough scored on
Jacob Lancy double in the first inning. McGough scored again on a Titans error in the 3rd inning.
Layne Davis scored CVCA's 3rd run on a
Jonah Gaudio single in the 4th inning.
Alex Mammone scored on a wild pitch in the 5th before
Bo Lanzilotta scored on a Davis double.
Zeke Keating pitched a scoreless 7th to secure the win.
