CVCA boys soccer hosted Walsh Jesuit on Tuesday night in the Battle of Wyoga Lake Road. This rivalry has been a fun one over the years as both school have strong programs. It was the home opener for CVCA as looked to please the home crowd with a win. Colton McKim opened the scoring for CVCA as he netted a rebound to give the Royals a 1-0. That score remained throughout much of the game. The Royals broke through again when Nathan Miller took on multiple defenders and fired the ball passed the goalie and across the net for a goal. Wyatt Mitchell added an insurance goal with a header late in the game. The Royals' defense held on for the shutout and the boys improved to 2-0 on the season. CVCA will travel to New Philadelphia on Saturday for another non-conference test.
