The CVCA boys soccer team traveled to Cleveland on Saturday to face the St. Edward Eagles. The Royals and Eagles battled hard during this afternoon contest. The first half went back without a goal. With just under 13 minutes left in the game, the Eagles used a quick counter to score and grab a 1-0 lead. The Royals were able to quickly respond. Senior Nick Linaburg was fouled attacking the goal and earned a penalty kick. He fired the past the goalkeeper and the score was back to even. Both teams created chances in the final 10 minutes of play, but neither team found a winning goal. The game ended tied at 1-1. CVCA remains unbeaten on the year as their record moves to 9-0-2. They are set to host Elyria Catholic on Tuesday for Senior Night.
