CVCA made the short trip to Hudson on Wednesday evening. The Royals faced off against the Pioneers of Western Reserve Academy in their regular season finale. The boys started fast with 2 quick goals. They would control play throughout and add 1 more goal in the game. Final Score: CVCA 3 - WRA 0

The Royals scored just a few minutes in to the game. Jay Patsch headed the ball forward to Braden Petno. Petno split the defense and finish past the keeper. CVCA quickly increased their lead on another goal by Braden Petno. This time, Jay Patsch intercepted a Pioneer goal kick and found the senior forward for his second goal of the night. The final goal of the game came in the second half. Ryan Winquist played a long through ball from near mid-field. Braden Petno won the foot race to the ball and placed the ball in the back of the net to complete a hat trick. The Royals defense also had a strong game. They limited WRA's attack and help control possession.

CVCA will host Ravenna on Wednesday, October 19th at 7pm in the Sectional Final.
