The baseball team faced off with Canton McKinley early Saturday morning. The Royals and Bulldogs met at Thurman Munson Memorial Stadium for this non-league matchup. Both team entered the game hoping the see their struggling offenses turn this around. Instead, the game followed script and was a low scoring affair. McKinley capitalized on a few CVCA errors the Royals scatter their 9 hits throughout game. Final score: CVCA 2 - McKinley 3

Chris Punka executed a hit & run with a single to right and advanced Taylor to 3rd. After a strikeout,
Noah Brook singled up the middle drive in Taylor and give the Royals a 1-0 lead.
The lead wouldn't last long as the Bulldogs answered in the bottom of the 1st. The leadoff hitter would walk and find his way around the bases to tie the score at 1-1.
The offenses remained quiet until McKinley scored 2 runs in the 4th. A walk and an error led to 2 runs in this inning.Â
The Royals would respond with 1 run of their own in the top of the 5th.
