The 2016 Cuyahoga Falls City Championship was played on Saturday, April 30th. The Championship is a 3 team round robin tournament between Cuyahoga Falls, Woodridge, and CVCA. Cuyahoga Falls was scheduled to host this year, but they field was ruled unplayable so the event was moved to Woodridge High School. In game 1, Cuyahoga Falls defeated Woodridge. In game 2, CVCA defeated Woodridge 9-2. In game 3, CVCA defeated Cuyahoga Falls 8-4 to win the Championship for the first time since 2013.
Steven Taylor pitched 4 innings in Game 1 to earn the win for CVCA. He struck out 4 and only allowed 1 run.
Myles Burdick pitched the final 3 innings for the Royals in their 9-2 win over Woodridge.
