The CVCA baseball team finished the 2017 season as District Runner-up in the Division II Euclid District. The Royals fell to Chagrin Falls by a score of 10-7 on Tuesday. The team made consecutive trips to the district final for the first time since 2003 and 2004. The loss moves CVCA to 15-10 with 2 games remaining. They will play at Woodridge on May 17th and at Cuyahoga Falls on May 18th.

The Royals grabbed an early lead with 2 runs in the first inning on Tuesday. Chagrin Falls answered with a big inning of their own. The Tigers scored 9 runs, 4 earned, in the bottom of the first to take control of the game. CVCA's comeback attempt in the 7th included 4 runs but came up just short. They fell by a score of 10-7.
