The CVCA baseball team hosted Wellington on Saturday in a tournament tune-up. The Royals scored three times across the first two innings and led 3-0 until the 4th inning. The Dukes scored 3 in the top of the 4th to tie the score and added one run in the 5th to move in front. CVCA was able to respond with 2 runs in the bottom of the 5th to move back in front and added an insurance run in the 6th inning. The Royals held on for the 6-4 win to improve to 14-9 this season. They will host STVM on Tueday before traveling to Cloverleaf for a tournament game on Wednesday.
