The 2023-2024 school year will be Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy (CVCA)'s final year as a member of the Principals' Athletic Conference (PAC-7). The Royals' membership in the PAC-7 will end after 23 years.
Starting in the 2024-25 school year, CVCA will compete as a member of the newly formed North Coast Conference (NCC). The NCC will include Beaumont, Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy, Elyria Catholic, Holy Name, Lake Catholic, Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin, and Padua. The CVCA football program will maintain its current 2024 game schedule before joining the NCC slate in 2025. All other sponsored sports will begin NCC competition in 2024-25.
"We are grateful for our many years in the Principal's Athletic Conference. The relationships established amongst league members have been invaluable," said Jon Young, CVCA's Athletic Director. "We have appreciated the wonderful competition over the years and the chance to sharpen each other through athletic competition. Now, we are thrilled to be joining the North Coast Conference. The member schools of the North Coast Conference are the perfect combination of similar enrollment sizes and similar sports offered. We look forward to establishing new relationships with each of the schools."
"With similar passions for student excellence, common values in how we fully equip our students, and a like-mindedness in where Athletics fits in the wholistic preparation of students, we look forward to linking arms together with the North Coast Conference member schools for years to come," added Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy President Jason Spodnik.
