The CVCA softball team hosted Orrville on Wednesday night. The visiting Red Riders scored first with 2 runs in the first inning. The Royals pulled even with 2 runs in the 2nd inning, but Orrville answered with 2 more runs in the 3rd inning. CVCA would respond with 4 runs in the 3rd inning and 5 runs in the 4th inning to grab an 11-4 lead. The lead was trimmed to 11-9 in the 5th before CVCA scored 2 in the 5th and 6 in the 6th to end the game. The Royals have now won three of their last 5 games. The girls will return to action on Friday at Tuslaw.
