Three CVCA wrestlers competed at the 2026 OHSAA State Tournament over the weekend. Sophomore Paul Tepley, senior Rocco Czarnecki, and senior Ky'Ron Fikes represented the Royals in the Division II Tournament. Tepley impressed on this way to the state title match at 190 lbs. He finished as State Runner-Up and is now a 2x state placer. Czarnecki wrestled well and made it to the semifinal at 132 lbs. He finished in 4th place to wrap up his career as a 2x state placer and 3x state qualifier. Fikes made his first state tournament as a senior battled a tough draw. CVCA finished 16th overall as a team with 35 points.
