The CVCA football team traveled to Perry on Saturday night for their first playoff game since 2009. On paper, the Royals were heavy underdogs, but their performance proved otherwise. CVCA, the #8 seed in Region 13 of Division IV, gave host and #1 seed Perry all they could handle for 48 minutes. Every time the Pirates looked to pull away, the Royals would come right back. CVCA battled back and had the ball down just one score in the 4th quarter on Saturday night. They would come up just short on the scoreboard, 48-34, but their effort was outstanding. The Royals finish the season at 7-4 overall.
