The CVCA wrestling team sent three wrestlers to the prestigious Ironman Tournament at Walsh Jesuit High School this weekend. Juniors Kyle Snider, Owen Nelson, and Braden Hahlen represented the Royals at the nationally respected event. Braden Hahlen competed at 113 and was able to finish with a record of 1-2. Owen Nelson wrestled at 106 and finished the tournament at 2-2. Kyle Snider took on a very competitive 215 weight class. He won his first two matches to advance to the quarterfinal. He fell in the quarterfinal, but bounced back with a win in the consolation quarterfinal. He placed 6th overall. The Royals will look to learn and build off this experience at the Ironman. The full team will compete this weekend at the Hoover Holiday Invitational.
