The CVCA softball team hosted Western Reserve Academy on Tuesday in non-conference action. The Royals fell behind early and trailed 5-0 entering the home half of the 3rd inning. CVCA answered with 4 runs, but still trailed 5-4. Both teams scored twice in the 4th inning to move the score to 7-6. The Royals offense led by home runs by Jackie Budrevich and Grace Hengsteler continued to hit and score runs. They outscored the Pioneers 4-2 in the 5th and 6th innings to take a 10-9 lead into the 7th. WRA tied things up in the top of the 7th, but CVCA earned the walk-off win when Callie Lessing scored on a fielder's choice by Madi Jurisch. CVCA is now 5-5 overall.
