The CVCA softball team traveled East on Tuesday night to face Howland in the OHSAA Tournament. The Royals and Tigers were battling for a spot in the Division III District Championship game. Howland scored 5 runs in the first inning to take the early lead. The Royals held them scoreless the rest of the game, but the CVCA offense struggled to solve the Tiger's pitcher in this game. Howland was able to secure the 5-0 victory to advance. The loss ends an outstanding season for the Royals. The finish the year with a record of 17-8. That is the most wins since 2006. It is the first year in program history with less than 10 losses. With most of the team returning, the Royals will look for another big year in 2027.
