The CVCA softball team hosted St. Vincent-St. Mary on Tuesday in regular season action. The Irish scored first but the Royals answered quickly and led 3-2 after the first inning. The same thing happened in the 3rd inning. STVM pulled even with one run in the top of the inning, but CVCA answered with 2 runs to led 5-3. The Royals scored once in the 4th and that proved to be the difference as they held on for a 6-5 victory. The girls are now 15-7 on the season. They will host Copley on Thursday in the OHSAA Division III Tournament. Game time is set for 5pm.
