CVCA hosted Woodridge on Friday night. It was a beautiful night for football and fans of the Royals and Bulldogs filled the stands. Both teams entered the game at 1-1. CVCA was coming off a win over Kent, while Woodridge had drop their last game to West Branch. It was a battle from start to finish on Friday night. Woodridge scored first with a field goal halfway through the first quarter. From there it was all CVCA. The offense scored 21 unanswered points and the defense held Woodridge at bay. Joey Lehner and Brennan Darr connected twice through the air for scores and Lehner also had a 78 yard touchdown run. The CVCA defense allowed just 99 yards of total offense. CVCA will open conference play at Loudonville on September 10th.
