The CVCA football team traveled down to Orrville on Friday night for week 9 of the regular reason. The Royals started fast and scored twice in the opening quarter. Ricky Levak caught a 30 yard touchdown pass from Charley Levak to open the scoring. Quarterback Charley Levak added a 1 yard rushing touchdown to put the Royals up 14. CVCA was driving again before a fumble seemed to switch momentum. Orrville converted a 32 yard field goal in the quarter and the Royals led 14-3 at halftime. The Red Riders made it a one score game with another field goal late in the 3rd quarter. Then, just like last week, things changed in favor of the Royals in the matter of seconds. Dillon Webb returned Orrville's ensuing kickoff 80 yards for a touchdown. After a well placed kickoff and an Orrville drop, CVCA had the ball again leading 21-3. Charley Levak scrambled and broke free for 40 yard touchdown and in a flash the Royals were up 25 points. Both teams traded touchdowns in the 4th quarter and CVCA returned home with a 35-13 win. The Royals are now 7-2 on the season. This win clinches a playoff spot for the Royals. They will travel to Manchester on Friday for the final game of the regular.
