The CVCA football team traveled to Canton South on Friday night in a big PAC-7 contest. The Royals and Wildcats both entered unbeaten in conference play with hopes of winning the conference title. The first quarter ended with just one score on the board. Canton South scored a touchdown in the final minute of the quarter to lead 7-0. The second quarter was a much different story. CVCA and Canton South traded scores three times in the final 7 minutes of the second quarter. That gave Canton South a 28-21 lead after an explosion quarter. The Wildcats extended their lead with a score in the third quarter. The Royals respond with 1 third quarter touchdown of their own. CVCA trailed 35-28 entering the final quarter of play. The 4th quarter belonged to Canton South as they scored three times and ddin't allow the Royals' offense to score again. CVCA fell by a score of 56-28 to move to 3-2 on the season.
