The CVCA football team hosted Fairless for Homecoming on Friday night. The Royals entered the game having won their last 4 games. The Falcons entered on a three game slide. Those trends continue as CVCA pull away from Fairless for 38-7 win on a beautiful night in Royals Stadium. Senior Calvin Warren connected on a 28 yard field goal to give CVCA a 3-0 lead in the first quarter. The Royals scored two rushing touchdowns in the 2nd quarter to increase their lead to 17-0. Junior Charley Levak scored from 23 yards out and sophomore Zac Anderson added a 1 yard touchdown just before halftime. The game really changed early in the 3rd quarter. After a interception by sophomore Alex Mammone, Charley Levak connect with Joey Kopec for a 42 yard touchdown through the air. The Royals then recovered the ensuing kickoff to regain possession. Levak instantly threw for another touchdown, this time connect with junior Brayden Harris from 25 yards out. With the score now 31-0, the running clock was activated. That made for quick finish to the game. CVCA added one more touchdown, a 7 yard run by freshman Tommy Kopec in the 3rd quarter. Fairless scored once in the 4th quarter, but was stopped on their final drive by the CVCA defense. The Royals will hit the road in week 8 as they travel to Northwest.
