The CVCA football team hit the road on Friday night to face the Bruins of Padua Franciscan. The Royals put together another dominating performance on both sides of the ball in this game. CVCA had eight possession on offense in this game. They scored touchdowns on six of them and run out the clock in the 2nd and 4th quarters on the others. The defense smothered the Bruins. They allowed just 104 total yards of offense with 65 of them coming on Padua's 4th quarter touchdown drive. After leading 35-0 at halftime, CVCA forced a turnover and scored a quick touchdown to push their lead to 42-0. The boys would secure a 42-7 road win to improve to 8-0 on the season. This is the first time in program history that the Royals have started a season 8-0. CVCA has now won 18 of their last 19 games played and 16 consecutive regular season contests. CVCA has outscored their opponents 329-59 this season. With the win, the team also secured at least a share of the 2025 North Coast Conference title. They will look to win the title outright with a win over Elyria Catholic in week 10. With just one week to play, the postseason picture is starting to take shape. CVCA unofficially has secured a 1st round bye and 2nd round home game as one of the top 4 seed in Region 9 according to

The Royals started on offense in this game and hit the ground running. Senior
Charley Levak broke through the defense and scored a 55 yard rushing touchdown for the early lead. After a Padua punt, the Royals increased their lead.

The 2nd quarter was all Royals as CVCA scored three touchdowns and held Padua to negative total yards. Sophomore
Tommy Kopec scored a 6 yard rushing touchdown early in the 2nd quarter.

Padua threw on the first play of the 2nd half, and senior
Ky'Ron Fikes came up with an interception. A few plays later, junior
Reed Jones scored a 4 yard rushing touchdown and CVCA led by 42. The Bruins would put together their lone scoring drive of the night in the 4th quarter. CVCA was able to run out the clock with a 13 play drive that took up the games final 10:56.
