The CVCA football team traveled to Brooklyn on Saturday night to face Holy Name. The Royals were up for the road conference test and put on a dominating display. They won the game 35-0 to remain unbeaten on the season. This is the team's first 6-0 start to a season since 2003. CVCA's defense allowed just 99 total yards on the night as they recorded their 3rd shutout of the season. The Royals offense continues to roll as they are now averaging 42 points per game. CVCA is set to host NDCL is a huge North Coast Conference game on Friday night. The CVCA community will rally together in support of Coach Muklewicz on Friday night.
The Royals took the lead with a first quarter touchdown drive.
Wesley Keeler scored a 19 yard touchdown run to cap of the Royals' opening drive. CVCA added two touchdowns in the second quarter to lead 21-0 at halftime.
Charley Levak scored on a 6 yard run and
Tommy Kopec scored on a 7 yard run. The Royals scored 3 touchdowns on three drives in the first half and allowed just 36 yards on defense.
CVCA continue to dominate the game after halftime. They recorded to interceptions on defense and added two more touchdowns on offense.
Tommy Kopec broke through for a 48 yard touchdown on 4th and short near midfield.
Charley Levak connected with
Dirk Geiger for a 19 yard touchdown pass to put the Royals up 35 points. CVCA scored a touchdown on 5 of 6 drives on the night with their final drive running out the clock to end the game. The defense allowed less than 100 total yards on the night and 52 of them came on a 4th quarter drive that ended on an interception.
