The CVCA baseball team played in the Hank Miller Classic on Saturday at Thurman Munson Stadium in Canton. The Royals faced the Green Bulldogs in non-conference action. A short thunderstorm delayed the start of this game, but the artifical turf allowed for the game to be played. Green scored twice in the home half of the first to grab and early lead. The CVCA offense struggled to get going in this game. The Bulldogs added two runs in the 5th to lead by 4. The Royals were able to score twice in the sixth inning of play. Jacob Lancy doubled to score Nik Wirsching and Connor McGough doubled to score Lancy. Green added an insurance run in the bottom of the sixth and the score fo 5-2. CVCA tried to put together a rally but failed to score after loading the bases with one out. The boys are now 7-4 on the season. They will travel to Louisville on Tuesday.
