The CVCA girls lacrosse team traveled to Akron on Monday night to face the Fighting Irish of St. Vincent-St. Mary. The Royals started well and dominated the first half of play. The girls led by as many as 4 goals before taking a 6-3 lead into halftime. The Irish turned the tide in the 4th quarter. STVM scored three 4th quarter goals including one with 14.7 seconds left to force overtime. CVCA fell in overtime on a sudden victory goal 1:13 into the period. The Royals move to 5-7-1 on the season. They will travel to Brecksville on Friday night.
