The CVCA flag football faced off against Copley over the weekend. The Royals and Indians met at Nordonia High School for CVCA's second game of the season. It was a dominating performance for the Royals on this day. They defeated Copley by a score of 32-0. The defense pitched a shutout and scored 18 points of their own with 3 interceptions returned for touchdown.
Kylie Marshall recorded 2 pick sixes and Giana Frye had 1.
Elyse Mitchell had several key tackles for the defense as well. On offense, the Royals remained well balanced.
Savannah Crews scored on a 45 yard run. Quarterback
Raela Zapsic threw two touchdown passes with
Chloe Kroslak and
Tiah Aufdenberg each catching one.
Julia Wiggers ran for 63 yards on the day. CVCA will return to action with two games on March 29th. They will face Cuyahoga Falls and Streetsboro at North Royalton.
