The CVCA flag football faced off against crosstown rival Stow-Munore Falls on Sunday. The Royals fell behind early as the Bulldog scored first. Senior Chloe Kroslak's pick six cut the deficit to 7-6. Savannah Crews scored a 2nd half touchdown to give CVCA their first lead of the day. With just under 5 minutes to go, Stow scored a touchdown to move back in front. The Royals answered quickly with a touchdown of their own. Senior Raela Zapsic found Giana Frye from 5 yards out for what proved to be the game winning score. The defense was led by Kroslak (2 ints), Elyse Mitchell (7 tackles), Kylie Marshall (7 tackles), and Giana Frye (7 tackles, 1 sack). CVCA defeated Stow 18-13 to improve to 5-1 on the season. Next weekend is the final week of the regular season. CVCA will face Highland and Medina Christian on Friday and face North Royalton on Sunday.
