Flag Football moves to 4-0

The CVCA flag football improved to 4-0 with 2 wins this weekend. The Royals defeated Cuyahoga Falls by a score of 25-6 in the first game of the day. CVCA followed that up with an overtime victory over Streetsboro to stay unbeaten. The girls are off this week and will return to action April 10th against Nordonia.

CVCA 25 - Cuyahoga Falls 6
The Royals continued to play well on both sides of the ball in this game. The team rushed for over 100 yards with Kaci Cherry and Savannah Crews leading the way. Tiah Aufdenberg caught two touchdown passes from Crews. On defense, Chloe Kroslak and Kylie Marshall each scored touchdowns on interceptions to flip the score. Giana Frye had eight tackles to lead the defense.

CVCA 12 - Streetsboro 6
The Royals and Rockets were locked in a defensive battle in this game as both teams scored just once in regulation. Raela Zapsic connected with Chloe Kroslak through the air for a touchdown in the first half. CVCA won the game in overtime when Savannah Crews raced 7 yards for the game winning score. The girls ran for 200 yards with Crews and Kaci Cherry playing key roles. Kyle Marshall secured 2 interceptions in the game while Giana Frye (9 tackles) and Alana Moore (4 tackles) to lead the defense.
