The CVCA softball team hosted Padua on Wednesday night in North Coast Conference action. The Royals fell behind when the visiting Bruins scored twice in the top of the first inning. The girls didn't panic and answered right away. CVCA scored 4 runs in the first and 2 runs in the second to seize control of the game.
Shaye Tepley went the distance for the Royals as she pitched 7 innings allowing 1 earned run while striking out 6. She also led the offense with a 3-4 day at the plate including a 2 run homer in the 2nd inning.

Gianna Lawrentz each added two hits for CVCA. The Royals secured a 7-2 victory over Padua to improve to 10-4 (5-1). The girls have now won 10 of their last 11 games.
