Softball comes from behind to win at Elyria Catholic

The CVCA softball team traveled to Elyria Catholic on Tuesday. The Royals and Panthers were battling to stay in the race for the North Coast Conference crown. CVCA fell behind and trailed 6 runs entering the 5th inning. The girls fought back and scored once in the 5th and four times in the 6th to trail by just one entering the 7th inning. Shaye Tepley homered with one out in the 7th to tie the score at 7. Leah Vojtko followed with a homer of her own and the Royals led 8-7. Tepley secured the win in the 7th with a 1-2-3 inning. It was an impressive come from behind, road, conference victory for teh Royals. The girls are now 11-5 on the year and 6-2 in conference play. They will host Lake Catholic on Wednesday.
