The CVCA football team hosted Boardman on Friday in the final non-conference game of the season. It was also Homecoming for the Royals and the CVCA community packed out the home side of Royals Stadium. The first quarter went by fast, but neither team was able to score. The second quarter almost followed suit but the Royals were able to find the end zone with less than 30 seconds left in the first half. Halfway through the 3rd quarter, the Royals doubled their lead. They went up three scores with a early 4th quarter touchdown. Boardman scored late in the 4th quarter, but CVCA answered quickly to lead 28-7. That score would stand as the Royals improve to 3-2 on the season. They will host Lake Catholic in Week 6 for the NCC opener.
