The Royals hit the road Friday night for the final time of the 2016 season. They made the long trip to Triway for a showdown with the Titans. Another great night for football ended in Triway's favor. The home team was able to win 35-14.
In the first half, the Titans took advantage of good field positions to score multiple times. The Royals had their chances, but were unable to score twice after moving the ball inside the 5 yard line. Triway was able to ride those defensive stops to a 21-0 halftime lead.
CVCA was able to cut into that lead when
Jay Woodlee capped off a nice drive with an 8 yard touchdown run in the 3rd quarter. Triway would responded with 2 scores of about 50 yards. The Royals would score one final time. This time,
Jordan Decatur ran the ball 36 yards for the score. Â Final Score: CVCA 15 - Triway 35
Jordan Decatur led the rushing attack with 168 yards on 18 carries and 1 touchdown.
Elijah Payne went 20-43 through the air for 205 yards.
Isaac Strausser caught 6 balls for 61 yards on the night.Â
CVCA will host Fairless on Friday, October 21st.
