CVCA hosted Akron Manchester for the final game of the 2016 season. The Royals were looking to upset the Panthers and earn their second straight win. Manchester entered the game having already clinched 1st place in the PAC and solid odds to make the playoffs. It was a physical and intense game from the very beginning. Manchester was able to capitalize on some big plays on their way to a 42-7 win. The loss ends the season for the Royals. They finish 1-9 on the year.

CVCA's lone touchdown came in the form of a 14 yard pass. Elijah Payne connected with Jay Woodlee late in the 3rd quarter. Payne finished 21-43 for 294 yards. Isaac Strausser caught 6 balls for 115 yards to lead the receivers.
