The Royals traveled to Crestwood for the OHSAA Sectional Final on Wednesday afternoon. The girls were coming off a 10-2 win over Streetsboro in the first round and were hoping to upset Crestwood to reach Districts. the home team's pitching prove difficult to solve and held CVCA to just 1 run on 2 hits. Crestwood would score throughout the game and win 3 runs in the bottome of the 6th, they ended the game via run rule. Final score: CVCA 1 - Crestwood 11.

Katelynn Justice recorded 5 strikeouts in her 6 innings of work on the mound. She also doubled and drove in the Royals only run. Chloe Warren tripled and scored for CVCA.

The loss bumps the Royals out of the OHSAA Tournament. They will finish up their regular season games within the next week. On Saturday, May 14th they are scheduled to host East Canton for a doubleheader.
