The CVCA baseball team hosted Fairless on Monday evening. The Royals once found themselves in a low scoring pitchers' duel. Both teams were held scoreless through the first 4 innings. CVCA pushed across a run in the bottom of the 5th inning to take a 1-0 lead. That would be all they needed as they went on to win the game 1-0.
Steven Taylor led the way on the mound. He pitched a complete game shutout allowing just 2 hits and no walks. Taylor struck out 7 batters and improved to 3-1 on the season. He also drove in the winning run with a single in the 5th.
Matt Miller collected 2 hits for the Royals include a double in the 5th inning. He scored the lone run. CVCA will travel to WRA on Tuesday, April 18th.
