The CVCA football team made their longest trip of the season on Friday night. The Royals traveled to Triway to face the Titans in Week 9 of the season. CVCA started fast with two touchdowns in the first quarter and three touchdowns in the 2nd quarter. The defense held Triway off the scoreboard to setup a running clock in the 2nd half. CVCA would add one more score in the 2nd half and win the game by a score of 40-0. The Royals are now 6-3 overall and 4-2 in PAC-7 play. They will host Manchester on Friday night in a game that could have playoff implications for the Royals.

In the first quarter, CVCA scored once through the air and once on the ground. Quarterback Michael Bevington found Tre Tucker for a 16 yard touchdown pass to open the scoring. Jordan Decatur scored on a 1 yard rush to give the Royals a 14-0 lead. The second quarter saw three touchdowns by CVCA including one on the final play before half. Tre Tucker scored on an 8 yard run to put the Royals up 20. Michael Bevington added 2 more passing touchdowns to put the Royals up by 34. Bevington hit Josh Junko for 78 yard touchdown and Tucker for a 26 yard touchdown. The game's lone score in the second half came on a 7 yard rush by senior Jacob Decatur.
