Softball beats Woodridge, loses to Falls

The CVCA softball team competed in the Cuyahoga Falls City Championship on Saturday. Cuyahoga Falls hosted this year's tournament at Harrington Field. The Royals faced CF in game 1. This game was a bona fide pitcher's duel. CVCA and Falls combined for just 4 total hits and 1 run. Unfortunately, Cuyahoga Falls scored the game's only run in the 6th inning to earn the 1-0 win. Game 2 featured CVCA and Woodridge. The Royals picked up a 4-1 win over the Bulldogs in a game shortened due to rain. The girls are now 4-4 on the season.
