CVCA hosted Lutheran West on Monday in the opening round of the OHSAA Division III State Softball Tournament. The Longhorns scored first with a run in the top of the first inning. The Royals answered with 5 in the bottom half of the first and never look back. They went on to score 20 runs in just 4 innings with 11 of them coming in the third. The game ended after the top of the 5th inning with the Royals on top by a score of 20-1. With the win, CVCA advances to the Sectional Final on Tueday, May 8th. They will travel to Trinity for a 5 o'clock game.
