Baseball wins big over Coventry

The CVCA baseball team opened the 2019 season at home on Saturday. The Royals hosted the Coventry Comets in non-conference action. CVCA took advantage of 9 free passes to plate 10 runs in 5 innings. Matt Groggs and James Musgrave combined for the 2 hit shutout over 5 innings. The Royals will travel to Myrtle Beach next week for the Mingo Bay Classic. They will play 4 games before returning home to open conferene play.
