The CVCA baseball team picked up an important win over Tuslaw on Monday night. The Royals defeated the Mustangs 4-1 to move to 14-8 overall and 8-2 in conference play. Austen Williams homered to lead off the bottom of the first to give CVCA the early lead. After Tuslaw tied the game in the 3rd inning, CVCA answered with 1 run to regain the lead. The Royals added two insurance runs in the bottom of the 6th inning on their way to the win. Taylor Sobiech picked up the win going 6.1 innings allowing just 1 run on 4 hits. Matt Groggs got the save in relief. CVCA will travel to Tuslaw on Wednesday.
