In their final tune-up before the postseason, the CVCA softball team traveled north to face St. Joseph Academy. The Royals grabbed a 1-0 lead in the 2nd inning, but the Jaguars answered with 7 runs in innings three through 5. CVCA would score 3 times in the final two innings but it wasn't enough. St. Joseph won the game by a score of 8-4. The Royals will host JFK on Tuesday in OHSAA tournament action.
