The CVCA football team hosted Orrville on Friday night. It was the home opener for the Royals and also senior night. The game started fast with the Royals and Red Riders trading scores on the first four possessions of the game. The score was 14-12 in favor of CVCA with 29 seconds left in the 2nd quarter. From that point it, it was all CVCA. Michael Bevington and David Lewis connected on a 59 yard touchdown pass to late in the 1st quarter. Kyle Snider scored a rushing touchdown in the 3rd quarter and Bevington added a touchdown on the ground in 3rd and 4th quarters. CVCA's defense held strong across the final three quarters forcing 4 punts, 2 turnovers, and 3 turnover on downs. The Royals will look to ride this momentum into Friday night's game at Tuslaw.
