The CVCA football team traveled to Northwest for week 2 of the 2020 season. This matchup was expected to be good as it was important game for both sides. CVCA was looking to bounce back after a week 1 loss, and Northwest would move into the drivers seat of the PAC-7 with a win. The Royals and Indians went toe to toe. Norhtwest led 14-6 after the first quarter. CVCA scored twice in the 2nd quarter and led 18-14 at the break. The Indians answered with 2 scores in the 3rd quarter to move ahead 28-18. Just before the 3rd quarter endend, CVCA scored to make it 28-25. In the fourth quarter, CVCA would have their chances. Unable to convert drives into points. the Royals fell behind 34-25. Northwest tacked on another score late and won the game 41-25. CVCA will host Orrville on September 11th for their home opener.
