CVCA and Revere met on the baseball diamond on Tuesday afternoon. Both teams are in the Division II Euclid District and could meet again in the tournament. On this day, it was all Royals. The Royals scored early and often on their way to an 11-1 win in 5 innings. The win moves CVCA to 5-5 on the season and 2-1 at home.
Tanner Judd's first inning single scored
Drew Wilson who had walked to lead off the game. The Royals would take the 1-0 lead and not look back. CVCA added 1 run in the 2nd, 3 runs in the 3rd, 5 runs in the 4th and 1 run in the 5th to end the game by run rule.
In the 2nd inning,
Josh Thacker singled to start things off.
Chris Fair bunted him to second and
Drew Wilson singled to center to drive him in.Â
Myles Burdick drove in 1 run with a double in the 3rd inning,
Josh Thacker followed with a perfectly executed squeeze play. After a walk,
Drew Wilson had another RBI single to increase the Royal's lead to 5-0.
CVCA added to their lead with 5 runs in the 4th inning.
Noah Brook walked and eventually came around to score via wild pitch.
Josh Thacker had a 2 run double.
Drew Wilson drove in another run with a single and
Steven Taylor followed with one of his own.Â
Revere added an unearned run in the 5th to extend the game. However, CVCA would answer with a run in the bottom of the 5th to end it by the 10 run mercy rule.

Matt Henning pitched a great game for the Royals. He went 4 2/3 innings allowing just 2 hits. He struck out 5 batters and allowed just 1 unearned run.
Josh Thacker got the final out of the game for CVCA.
